Perfume and a bit of a rant

Hi again all-

So I had the Viktor@Rolf Flowerbomb perfume the first year it came out. I remember liking it and using it up, but with everyone recently raving about it again my interest was peaked!

So on to the rant- I had gone on to the luuux site and tried it out for a while and I did gain a lot of point/dollars, however I was not a fan of how they changed their mind on how things were being run, how points were being given, etc so often. I feel if you are a valid company you should test everything out before you launch it. So that being said I decided to close my account.

This also came on because when I started on the site I was saving for a I-Pad which was around 30k points. So I had been loading and commenting etc to save up (which takes a while to do.) Well I decided to go on to look at the shop and see what they had that was new and to my surprise the I-Pad that I was saving for was now 46k points. So that combined with the whole lessening points etc I decided to find something to buy and cash out and close my act.

The only thing that I saw that I could get (and the point requirements for these things is crazy) was the Viktor@Rolf flowerbomb.

I was excited though because I remember liking it and don't remember why I didn't re-purchase, but with so many people talking about it I decided to give it another shot.

That being said it also took almost 2 week for my product to get here from luuux.

So I am interested in trying out again and I will keep everyone posted on how I like it compare to my other favs!

Wedding Dress

Ok so as many of you know if you follow me on twitter- I got engaged in September and we are getting married in July 2011. So I am a super low maintenance bride. Most stuff is done. Booked the location, transportation, photographer, officiant, made the save the date magnets and have appointments for the week before New Years to do food and cake tastings.

So I went with my mom this week to "look at wedding dresses." That being said I left with my headpiece, veil, bra and dress ordered.

Funny it was the first one I tried on and it was the one I kept going back to. We are getting married outside at a beach club so I wanted something light and not hard to move around in for July! So here it is!
That being said I am not going to be putting many posts on here about this because I have most of it done- I want this to be done now so as the date approaches I can relax and enjoy it!
I hope you enjoy seeing the photo!

Flat Boots

So I have never been a flat shoes type of person! But this season with the new flat boots I was intrigued. So I went looking one weekend and everything i found was almost $200. For something I am not sure i will like I am NOT willing to pay that amount. So I went on a search and once again I ended up at DSW. can you tell that I love that place?

So I went in and found the boots shown above and can I tell you I am in love with them. These ones were around $39, but they are already getting scuffed up and since they are not real leather white is showing through on them. Which sucks, but at least I know I like them and I will wear them for this season- maybe fix them with some shoe polish.

So are you guys liking the new trend of these type boots?

Oh yeah and also I got these boots and another pair for just over $100 (well I had a coupon too) Cant beat that!

Neutral Wedges

So I am totally loving wedges this season! They are so comfy and they are so cute!

This is a pair that I got at Bakers a little while back. I bought them in Grey and loved them so much I decided to go get a neutral pair. I think they were aroun$39, but I am not sure. You can probably still find them on their website.

I have been wearign some boots on the cold days, but days like today where it is BEAUTIFUL here and 60 I am totally up for wedges instead! :o)

So what are your favorite fall shoes.

New Toy

So this weekend I was out and I have been debating the I-Pad for a while and I finally decided to get one.
It was a decision on size of memory and with 3G or without. So I have spoken with people I know that have these and the response was unanimous- wifi not 3G. Here in Baltimore 3G/AT&T sucks plus the contract is crazy. As you may be able to tell I am a true Verizon girl! Plus with the Wifi version you can get use the Verizon hot spot (carry it in your purse) and it is the same (if not faster) as the AT&T 3G. So after I made these decisions I went to get one. To my surprise they were sold out at the Best Buy, but another one close had one so they were able to hold it for me.
After getting it and getting it home (then syncing it with my itunes and outlook) it was up and running. So far I am LOVING it! I love it more than my laptop for YT, email is easy, web is great and the apps are amazing too! On twitter I got lots of recommendations on apps to try.
Also I was able to set up netflix's today also so I can watch any movie on it.
So the short of it is this thing is great- I will use it for many things including for work when I am on the road, however it is not a laptop replacement.
So what are your thoughts on these? Apps that you love, etc?

Review Cellnique Skincare

Hi again everyone-
So here is my new skincare that I have been using. It is by a company called cellnique and you can order it online. Their website is: http://www.cellnique.com/index.php/products.html

I received these products and gave them a try for a little over 4 weeks. Here are my before photos:

Keep in mind that I get laser facials and microderm about every 3 months so my skin doesn't have a lot that a topical product will do to make it look different. Bit if you watch my videos you can clearly see the difference in my skin tone and texture.
Here are my photos from after 3 weeks:

So I didn't really see any diminished sun spots or scars, but I think mine are as gone as they are gonna get! :oP I do love these products though and I am going to repurchase them. I think I might try Mario Badesco too!

Here are the products I used and the links and how to use them:

1. Skin Purifying Cleanser http://www.cellnique.com/exd.asp?hcatid=1&categoryid=3&id=5
2. Skin Purifying Lotion http://www.cellnique.com/exd.asp?hcatid=1&categoryid=4&id=10
3. Skin Action Sebum Gel http://www.cellnique.com/exd.asp?hcatid=1&categoryid=6&id=23
4. Intensive Hydrating Oasis Gel http://www.cellnique.com/exd.asp?hcatid=1&categoryid=8&id=32
5. Skin Purifying DayTime Protection 20 http://www.cellnique.com/exd.asp?hcatid=1&categoryid=9&id=33
6. Advanced Bio Renewal Masque http://www.cellnique.com/exd.asp?hcatid=1&categoryid=11&id=37

Now on to the fun part- here is the giveaway information:

Review Sigma Eye and Blush Palettes

Hi again everyone-

So this review has been requested by so many of you! I received these products from Sigma a while ago but it took me a bit to put the review up because I wanted to try the products out and really use them for a while first.

So to start with I want to mention that Sigma is a wonderful company and is so willing to answer questions of the consumers. They are on twitter and they actually get back to people who ask questions. That being said this is my opinion as someone who has purchased from them and been sent products by them! So this is not a one sided opinion of how they treat people I received the same treatment at all times! That shows what a great company they are! They also told me to give my 100% honest opinion on their products because that way they will be able to improve and make new products based on the consumers! That is awesome!

So here are the products:

Neutral Palette-

This is by far my favorite palette! As you know if you follow me I am a more neutral eye girl anyway- I might put a pop of color here or there but neutrals are my love! So when I saw this palette I was so excited! However the only thing that concerned me is that all of the colors were shimmer colors- no matte ones (this is true of all the eye pallets) So I used them and liked the colors but the shimmer and fallout were a bit much all together! I did find that when I used them along with other matte colors I liked them much more! however if you check out my video (I did an eye look only using the neutral palette) it is a wonderful look! Also for some reason this palette is not showing up on the website to buy on it's own! This palette is a must have for me and great for travel!

Smokey Eye Palette-

So this palette I gave a try a few different ways and I really liked the colors but they oxidized on me after a few hours! This happens to me with most greys! I will say however the Indian girl color in this palette is an almost exact dupe for the MAC discontinued sweet sienna pigment that is so desired! Overall this palette is a great palette if you like the grey smokey eye! It is not a MUST have for me simply because I am not a grey smokey eye girl!

Fun Eye Palette-
Ok so this one intrigued me- I liked the colors- especially the play with fire (bronze) color and the I got the blues color. I really like to use blue as a pop of color in the summer months under my eye and to bring out my blue eyes. As far as the other two colors- they are pretty but I am not someone who wears those colors very often! So this one is not a must have for me either!

Blush Palette-

Now this was a great surprise- I am a huge blush person and when I first swatched these I saw how pigmented they were but they had a good amount of fall out! I did find though after using them that when you use a brush and not your finger which puts to much pressure on the powder they work great! very little is needed. I put some one my brush tap it off and the payoff is amazing! And it comes with a highlighter! My favorites are Ruby Tuesday and the highlighter! They make a great combination! This one is a must have for me!

Overall I would give these palettes a 7 out of 10!

Another note these colors are named after Rolling Stone Songs! I think that is cool to!
Here is the link for the Sigma makeup!

So I hope you found this review helpful and if you have any questions please let me know!

Review Maybelline 24 hour super stay foundation

Hi again everyone-
Sorry I have been a but MIA on my blog lately- we have been getting lots together for the summer house and I finally passed all my real estate classes/exams and I am starting with a new group on the 5th of May!
So this is my review of the maybelline 24 hour super stay foundation! I tried this so many different ways before I made up my mind on this. my final decision is that this foundation does not stay for 24 hours- it doesn't even really stay for 8 on me! I think the finish is a satin finish and the coverage is medium at best.
I know a lot of people really like this foundation but it just didn't work for me. if you are looking for a drugstore foundation I would suggest the neutrogena healthy skin foundation- it is a way better product for around the same money!
Overall I would give this foundation a 3 out of 10!
I hope this helps you and if you have any questions please let me know!

Review Revlon Photo Reday Foundation

Hi all-
so this is a review of the Revlon photo ready foundation that has been a highly requested video.

Sorry it took so long but I changed the color at first, then I was testing different powders and just trying to see what the best results were for my skin.

So after a long trial period I found that this just didn't work for me. It was to glittery and shimmery in the sun- Some people don't experience this- I have heard it depends on how much you apply, but I have tried a very little, medium amount and a lot- and they ALL were to shimmery for me in sunlight! It is a shame because I really wanted to like it (or even love it.) Others have told me that mixing it with colorstay or a different matte foundation helps, but really I don't want to have to mix my foundation to make it work!

Overall I would give this product a 4 out of 10!

I did get an idea from a subscriber (bandybay868) to try using it as an under eye concealer and I really liked this. It gave a shimmer to lighten under the eye and it gave good coverage too, so if you have it and you don't want to mix another in and it just doesn't work for you like it didn't for me- give this a try!

So here is a picture I took on my hand against a black background in direct sunlight!

Also if you are a drugstore foundation lover- I have an upcoming video on a great dupe for NARS Sheer Glow!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Review Benefit Lipsticks

Hi again everyone-
This is a review on the Benefit Lipstick's. I have 2 of them! I think they are very much like the Revlon colorstay lipsticks and the clinique Buttershines or MAC slimshines in texture! I really like them and think they are a great product but I don't tend to purchase lipsticks anymore, since i have way to many! haha!
I overall I would give these lipsticks would be a 7 out of 10!

I hope you enjoy my review!
PS- My hair looks a mess in this video- it wasn't agreeing with me! :o(

Costal Scents HD Foundation

Hi again everyone-
Sorry I have been MIA for a while- I was taking my real estate licensing classes, so I was pretty busy and I uploaded a few videos but didn't really have a chance to update my blog!
So here is my review of the costal scents HD foundation. i really like this foundation although I do not like that I have to use 2 colors in order to get the right color match. The foundation lasts well, has a great finish and is fairly inexpensive. However the color choices are really hard to match since they are only available online and the color selection is not that great.
Overall I would give it a 6 out of 10 mostly because of the color selection. If the selection was wider I would say it was an 8 out of 10!
So that's my two cents!
let me know if you have tried it or like it!

Products I have used up

So I am not on project 10 or 5 pan- I am currently just buying things I am interested in trying until I finish at least 50 reviews on my list! But in the mean time I have finished up some products because I am using up items I have! Here are the ones I have recently finished!

Origins Multi Grain- this is a favorite must have for me! Love it!

Korres Olive and Rye eye cream- I really like this and this is my 2nd tube but I think I am going to try some new things out this time!

Alyria face cream in #2. I like this but I find that over time using it I can get the same results from exfoliation and a great moisturizer- I will stick with my RetinA from my dermatologist!

MAC lipstick in Spirit- this was a Limited Edition lip stick and I loved it for so long but now I have other favorites too!

The last item is my Urban decay Primer Potion. Just a little background on this. First I used it like it comes- then I took the stopper out (this worked for a really long time) then I did the hot water lip gloss trick and it pulled a lot up to the top and I was able to use it for a bit longer- then i finally broke down and cut it open (see pictures below)
However after taking to a lot of people on twitter and reading some info on cutting the packaging open on MUA I found out some interesting info. When you saw through the container with a knife you are cutting the plastic particles in to the product that is left in the container. So when you scoop it out in to another container yes there is product left BUT there have been people that got serious eye infections from doing this.
So for me I would rather buy another for the $18 (I already ordered one at sephora) than to chance an eye infection. the original bottle lasted me well over a year so I think I can handle buying a new one when I cant get to what is left in the container!

So let me know if you have any questions and have a great day!

Cheers-Lisa

Dr Brandt Pore No More Pore Refiner

Hi again all-

So this is my review of the Dr Brandt Pore No More Refiner that can be purchased at Sephora. Overall I really liked this product. I would give it a 8 out of 10!

There are also other options out there such as the MAC Skin Refining Pore Perfecting Primer and the Clinique Pore Refiner also! I have tried both and the Clinique actually clogged my pores and the MAC and Dr Brandt did not.

However the Dr Brant is around 445 USD and the Clinique and MAC ones are around $20-25 USD and are half the size so depending on how much you are going to use they really are around the same cost!

I hope this helps you all and let me know if you have any questions!

Cover Girl Concelaer

Hi again everyone-
So I was sent this cover girl concealer stick from a fellow YouTuber to try out and I will be honest I have never been a big fan of stick concealers. They always seemed cakey and to heavy for what i like. However I did find that by applying this with a brush it made a huge difference. I will give this a 6 out of 10!
You can find this at any drugstores and it is great as a blemish/scar concealer! It is fairly inexpensive and easy to find!
So here is my review- let me know if you have any questions!

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

Hi again everyone-

So this is my review on the NARS Sheer Glow foundation that has been requested by many people. First I had it in color Ceylon and I did a review on it at that point I would have given it a 6 out of 10!

Then I went and exchanged it for the color Punjab (on the recommendation of juicytuesday- since we are the same color in the Chanel) and this has changed my opinion on this. I would now say that this product is a 9 out of 10!

I have been applying it with a brush (as I do most of my foundations) and I have now learned that this foundation is best used with your finger (it is supposed to warm the product up to melt in to your skin better- thanks to Aaron-awoz on YT) so i am going to give that a try tomorrow. I cant imagine it getting much better than it is now but I am willing to try it!

So here is my review!

Hi again everyone-
So this is my review of the Cover Fx Liquid Foundation. I was so excited to try this and I was very disappointed that it did not work on my combination/oily skin. However, I think this would be amazing on Normal/dry skin!

For my combo/oily skin I will give this foundation a 2 out of 5! :o(
