Review Revlon Photo Reday Foundation

Hi all-
so this is a review of the Revlon photo ready foundation that has been a highly requested video.

Sorry it took so long but I changed the color at first, then I was testing different powders and just trying to see what the best results were for my skin.

So after a long trial period I found that this just didn't work for me. It was to glittery and shimmery in the sun- Some people don't experience this- I have heard it depends on how much you apply, but I have tried a very little, medium amount and a lot- and they ALL were to shimmery for me in sunlight! It is a shame because I really wanted to like it (or even love it.) Others have told me that mixing it with colorstay or a different matte foundation helps, but really I don't want to have to mix my foundation to make it work!

Overall I would give this product a 4 out of 10!

I did get an idea from a subscriber (bandybay868) to try using it as an under eye concealer and I really liked this. It gave a shimmer to lighten under the eye and it gave good coverage too, so if you have it and you don't want to mix another in and it just doesn't work for you like it didn't for me- give this a try!

So here is a picture I took on my hand against a black background in direct sunlight!

Also if you are a drugstore foundation lover- I have an upcoming video on a great dupe for NARS Sheer Glow!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Cheers-Lisa

  1. I think I'll have to try it myself because I don't know how I feel towards shimmer in general.

A great drugstore dupe for Nars Sheer Glow *ooooo* I'll be awaiting patiently for that.

As always thanks Lisa for your honest review. Take care (=

  2. That's a smart idea re: using it as a concealer!

Looking forward to your drugstore dupe for Sheer Glow, I'm on the hunt for a new foundation but Nars is so expensive here in Australia.

  3. I can't bleive I purchased this foundation! Argh, it sounds and looks and feels so good, but I completley saw the glitter when I went in the direct sunlight. It's an odd effect as I noticed I had to be 100% in the sun; just being outside in the sun but not full on I did not notice the shimmer. Maybe it will be ok, but gah I sure hope no one asks me why I have glitter all over my face. Now that is embarassing.

Oh and really can't wait for the NARS sheer glow dupe!

  4. I don't really see a problem your hand looks fine...it does look glowy but not glittery i love my photo ready foundation and no one had said anything about me being glittery and the people i hang around with would tell me for sure if it was a big deal. Just my opinion :)

  6. Thanks for this review :) It looks like a big no-no for me as I have pretty oily skin, so the shimmer mixed with my oiliness.. I suspect won't be a very good look!
And besides, I think you've done me a favour as I have a scary amount of foundation.. I think Ive purchased 3 this month alone Eeek!!

  12. I found that if I mix this foundation one to one with Olay Total Effects moisturizer, it goes on well, gives light coverage and reminds me of my Chanel Aqua foundation.
