Best Of Hair Care 2013

Hi again all-
After the best of vies I had already done Beauty and Brushes.  Many people asked me to do a best of hair care.  Usually I wouldn't think that I had much to say in that area since I don't usually change products that often.  However this year I totally found a lot of new items that I am in love with.  Please keep in mind that when you purchase online unless it is from an authorized seller you may not be getting the correct product or the most recent.  That being said I do purchase quite a few of these online.  I just knew where to buy them.  Also I put in links for the companies if I did not provide a link of where you can purchase.
Below and photos of the products in case you couldn't see them ver well in the video which I feel was the case with a few products.
I hope you enjoy.
Sebastian Shaper Plus
Unite Volumizing Dust (2 other options below)
LUSH No Drought Dry Shampoo- I forgot a picture of this
Cortex 4 in One Curling Wand- I forgot a picture of this too.

What are some of your favorite Hair Care Products?
I hope you found this helpful!

Cheers-
Lisa

Review Marc Jacobs Lovemarc Lip Gloss

Help again all!
I purchased this lip gloss a while ago.  Possibly right before the VIB sale?  I am not 100% sure. I purchased it in the color Sweet Escape.  Although I do not wear gloss very much on an everyday basis.  More like only when I go out for special events (and I remember.)  I have a select few that I really like and use.  This one is definitely a keeper and I will continue to use it but I don't think I will run out and buy another or replace this one when it is empty.
Here are some packaging photos.
Next is a swatch of the color.
Here is a picture of the wand.
My biggest issue with the gloss is that the packaging becomes very messy.  Picture below.  I have heard from others that theirs have leaked!  Yuck!  I hope mine doesn't do that.  Although I keep my upright in my vanity, so helpfully that helps.
So here is my breakdown of this product.

Pigmentation- 4/5
Texture- 5/5
Longevity- 3/5
Application- 5/5
Packaging- 5/5
Price- 3.5/5
Product Overall- 3.5-4/5

You can purchase this at:
Sephora

I hope you found this review helpful.  Thanks for checking this out!

Review Mary Kay Eye Sahdow Set and Singles

This is a review of the Mary Kay Eye Shadows in a Set (Brilliant Blue Eyes) and Singles.  I have been using these shows for so long and i have no idea why I have not stopped to review them yet.  I use them probably at least a few times every month.  Which is a lot for someone with all the makeup I have.  :o)
The shadows them selves come in their own packaging and the eye palette is sold separately.  I personally just used a palette I already had and I also have Z Palettes that can hold these shadows also.
I purchased the following colors:
Brilliant Blue Eyes Set:
Here are some swatches of that set.
I also purchased some singles, repeating some colors by mistake (Hazelnut and Swiss Chocolate.)  Here are the swatches of those.

Here are swatches of each single color.

Spun Silk
 Silky Carmel
 Hazlenut
 Swiss Chocolate
Copper Glow

So here is my break down of these shadows.  Have you tried any if so what are your favorite colors?

Pigmentation- 4.5/5
Texture- 4.5/5
Longevity- 4/5
Application- 4/5
Packaging- 2.5/5
Price- 4.5/5
Product Overall- 4-4.5/5

Review Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

HI all-
So I am posting this video a few days earlier than I expected.  That is why it is going up at a weird time of day.  However I was having an issue with the Best of Hair video I taped playing for people.  So I think I am going to have to re-tape that one, since I deleted that one off my computer just a few days ago.  :o(  Oh well on to the next.
So I bought this mascara at the Sephora VIB sale on a recommendation of Jessica of beautizine an online blogazine.    I have tried other two faced mascara's and I never really like much less loved one so I was very skeptical.  Soooo, when I go it was was very interested to give it a try.  Well it was love at first use.  I have not used another mascara since.  I have purchased a second and a travel size one also.
I wasn't sure of the wand at first it is fairly large and it has a strange shape.  See the photo below.
The color is very true black.  It does only come in black, there is not a brown option.  Which doesn't bother me.  I love black mascara, but I know some people are more a brown mascara lover.
The packaging is interesting.  I love it but I could understand why some others may not like it.  It is a metal package and is slightly heavy.  I do however love that it is a light pink and that the name is just embossed on it not very noticeable.
I used to have to use two mascaras to get the results that I get with this mascara.  I either used a lengthening one and then a volumizing one to I used a primer and a mascara.
The formula is fairly wet and it is easily buildable.  It is supposed to build up to two coats.  I usually use one to two coats and that is plenty for me.  When I do three coats it can get a bit spidery looking. One of my favorite things it that it does not transfer on me to my eye lid  or flake on to my cheeks.
Overall I love this stuff and I think it will take a lot to get me to stray.  :o)

Breakdown:
Pigmentation- 5/5
Texture- 4.5/5
Longevity- 5/5
Application- 4/5
Packaging- 5/5
Price- 4-4.5/5
Product Overall- 5/5

You can purchase this at the following places:
Sephora
Ulta

Review MUFE Pro Finish Powder foundation

So i am constantly in search of the perfect setting powder along with the perfect foundation.  I think if you have a great base then everything else looks beautiful too!
So when the Sephora VIB sale rolled around last year 2013 (ok really only a few months ago.)  I decided to give a few a try and see how they worked out.  So far I think this one is my favorite for all over the face. I do have a few others I like also and i use them all similar and one differently.  Keep an eye out for those reviews that should be coming up soon.
So here is a close up of the packaging.
I like the look of MUFE packaging.  The basic black, but not the rubberized messy one.
I use my Marc Jacobs The Bronze brush to apply the powder.  The review for this brush is here.
The package opens kind of difficult at times and the part that is supposed to be helpful with separating the sponge can be a bit weird when you are opening.
The products themselves tend to run true to to what you see in the palette is true to how it swatches.

So here is the breakdown of my thoughts on this product.

Pigmentation- 5/5
Texture- 5/5
Longevity- 5/5
Application- 5/5
Packaging- 4/5
Price- 3.5/5

Product Overall- 4-4.5/5

You can purchase this item at the following locations:
Sephora

I hope you enjoyed the review and let me know if you have any questions.

Lisa
