Review Dior Star Foundation

Hi again everyone-
This is a review on the Dior Star Foundation that I had heard a lot of people talking about lately.  I got the itch to try this after seeing both Colleen Rothschild and Vanessa (TheBombshellSuite) I was sold and knew I was going to try it.
We all know that foundations are my weakness.  I love them and the results they give.  I am always on the hunt for the perfect one, however even if I find one I always still try more.  It is like finding the perfect pair of jeans.  :o)
I am combination oily skin.  Oily mostly in the T zone.  I do need to set this foundation and make sure that those areas do not have oil breaking through.  This also photographs beautifully even though the SPF is a 30.  I purchased this in the color 020 and I was able to color match myself on the Sephora website with both my own knowledge and the Sephora IQ help.  Plus the descriptions are  pretty good.  The cost on this foundation is a bit on the high side at $50, but there are some higher and lower.  It just depends on what you are willing to spend and try.
The finish is a satin on the verge of matte and it is a medium very easily build able to flu coverage foundation. I like to apply it best with an It Cosmetic Brush from Ulta.  It is a cool brush and totally different.
It took me a little bit to decide what I thought on this and to find the way that it works best for me, but now I really do like it.
There is a side by side in the video of my applying it.

Product Breakdown
Pigmentation- 4.5/5
Texture-  5/5
Longevity- 3.5/5
Application- 4.5/5
Price- 3.5/5
Product Overall-  4/5

Review Marc Jacobs Face !! and Concealer Brushes

Hi again all-
I realized after I purchased the Marc Jacobs Concealer brush that I don't think I have ever reviwed the foundation brush which is very similar in shape.  It has quickly become a favorite brush of mine and I have even considered purchasing another.  However the price has been by draw back.  So, I think I will wait until another Sephora VIB sale to purchase another!
I do love the foundation brush, but I wasn't sure what I would think of the concealer brush since i do tend to not be drawn towards concealer brushes.  I was surprised at how much I really did enjoy it.  Would I repurchase another like the foundation brush, no, but I will enjoy this one.
I love the look and feel of the MJ brushes.  The Blush one was the only one I didn't like and returned. The others are all amazing.  My biggest issues are that the name wears off on the handle and the pricing.  Other than that they are amazing and so easy to use and clean.
Here are some close up photos.  Yes the brushes are dirty- I used them that day, but also I tried to photograph them clean and they were very hard to see on a white background.
The concealer brush
The only place I think you can purchase these is at Sephora.

Review Guerlain Terracotta 4 Season Bronzer

Hi again all-
It has been requested a lot since i picked this item up to give it a review.  I originally picked up three of the Guerlain Bronzers and only kept the one that I liked the most which ended up being this one.  I picked it up in the color 02 Natural Blonde.
It is called a 4 season bronzer because you are able to use difference sections or a combination of the sections to get the color you need depending on the season.
This bronzer does not have any of the orange or olive tints to it that I find other bronzers tend to have.  Before this one of my favorite bronzers is the Too Faced Chocolate in the regular and the milk chocolate.  This one just has a very natural and healthy look to it and I get so many compliments using it.
I have tried multiple brushes with this as well and the one that I found works best with this is the Chanel 02 Angled Powder brush.  However as i did this video I found a brush from Sedona Lace 919 that actually is way way less expensive and works similar to the Chanel one.  I have also used it with my Tom Ford and my Louise Young Brushes.
I have some closer pictures below along with some swatches.

This is my new HG bronzer for summer and I am looking forward to using it more and more.

Review Hourglass Ambient Blush

Hi again all-
I know I am sure behind on this but I still thought people might like to hear what I had to say about these blushes.
I do own one of the ambient lighting powders and I like it but I don't wow love it.  SO I was slightly hesitant when I heard about these.  I did however pick up two of them and then one more later.  I only ended up keeping two of them.  Mood Exposure and Dim Infusion.  I have however since purchased another in Etherial Glow.  I have been using one of them every single day since i have purchased them.  I think the combination of radiating powder and the blush just works amazingly.  They are very easy to work with and blend for a seemless look.  I think they are going to be perfect for summer.
Here are some photos and swatches of the two I have.
Mood is on the left and Dim in on the right.

Review First Aid Beauty Cleanser, Mask and Moisturizer

Hi again all-
A little while ago I was contacted by First Aid Beauty to try a few of their items.  I have heard a lot of people talk about their products but I had never really found a reason to try their products.  The draw was just not there for me ever though i had heard people rave about them.  Can I say I am so glad that I tried them, because I would not have found this cleanser (my fav item) if I had not.  So on to the review.
I will start with my favorite.
Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay.
This item is by far my favorite in the items i was sent.  It really gets my skin feeling clean with out making it tight or dry feeling.  Even us oily skin girls shouldn't be using something that makes our skin feel to dry and tight.  :o( It red in color, doesn't really foam but you can tell when it is on your face, and it is super smooth and easy to use.
I use this cleanser both morning and night and at night I use it on my clarsonic.  I love the way my skin feels after using it with my clarsonic.  I have already purchased a back up at the Sephora VIB Sale.  See that video here.

The next item
Skin Rescue Purifying Mask with Red Clay
Now I will start by saying that I am horrible about remembering to put a mask on.  I will go for peels and facials, but at home I just forget or don't make the time for them.  I really had to remember to use this. When I did use it it is a thick and sticky and difficult to spread on your face.  It is supposed to be a mask that peels off your face after it dries.  Well the first time I guess I didn't put enough on in order for it to peel- so I had to wash it off.  My skin did feel very nice and tight, but not in a drying tight way.  Thenext time i tried it I kept trying and trying to get a thicker layer on.  I thought I had it but this time I was only able to peel a piece here or there,  SO I personally don't feel as if it is a good Peeling mask, but it is a nice mask that you can wash off.  I have tried it a few more times and I just can't master the peeling.  Haha.  It is also red in color.

The next item
Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery
Funny thing with my oily skin I thought that I would love this because it gives moisture yet isn't heavy.  which is true.  Maybe it is my age now (40) but I didn't feel like it gave me enough moisture.  The bottle is super cool and different.  It is way easier to use than I had anticipated.  I just didn't fall in love with it.

So I hope you found this review helpful and I will having a new review coming up on some skincare that I feel in love with only after 2 days of using it.  That never happens with me.  I always always think you need at least a month to know if you love something.

Please let m know if you have any questions.

Review Kat Von D Eye Shadow Palette in Saint

 Hell again all-
This review is one that I was excited to do. I have been using this palette almost every day since i purchased it.  I was at Sephora inside JCPenny's and I was wandering around and then went up to check out.  As I was waiting to check out this palette caught my eye.  As you know I have been loving a pink and brown eye, so when I saw thee colors and the pink in the palette I thought I would give t a try.  And boy am I glad i did.  This palette is so smooth and the color are so easy to work with.  I love that a few of the colors are great colors for a one color and done look.  However when you use them together they just come together great!
I wish that they had single shadows or that she came out with more palettes with more neutrals, because the smoothness of these is just amazing. Pigmentation is great too they actually go on looking like what you see in the palette.  The second color in from the left is the most amazing highlighter and I grab for it all the time now.  The right amount of shimmer and reflection with out being to glittery!
If you haven't given this one a try yet and you are a neutral girl- I say give it a try you may be surpassed like me.
Here are some swatches and a close up of the palette.

Her is slink to a face of the month where I actually use this palette- link here

Here are my thoughts:
Pigmentation-  5/5
Texture- 5/5
Longevity- 5/5
Application- 5/5
Packaging- 5/5
Price- 4.5/5
Product Overall- 5/5

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers-
Lisa
